TAU BEHAVIORAL CENTER
Fall 2023 | Group: Annie Sanford, Josie Toso, Olivia Messina Software: Revit, Enscape Description: Our Lady of the Lake Tau Center for Behavioral Health is committed to providing their patients’ quality care, which will be reflected through the design of this space. Thoughtful consideration of light, color, and other sensory elements will create a therapeutic and less stressful environment for patients. Neutral and pastel shades mixed with natural wood tones establish a calm, welcoming space for the patients. Adjustable lighting with cooler, muted colors in the patient’s bedrooms gives the children a sense of comfort and ease in their space. Warmer tones in the activity and group rooms will evoke creativity and socialization within the patients. Natural lighting and nature aspects throughout will form a sense of regularity and peace. Walking through the facility, the patients and staff are surrounded with round-edged furniture, interior greenery, and natural curves which form a strong connection to nature.
